Episode 2: Val McAdoo
This week’s Podcast guest is a renaissance woman. Val McAdoo started her career as both an actress and associate producer with the feature film D-Railed (2018). She was also a set designer and location coordinator for the award-winning film which was shot in both Los Angeles and Philadelphia. She was responsible for leading the crew in Philadelphia that build a life-sized train car which was lowered into a small man-made lake, also build by her crew. It was a huge undertaking for a newcomer in the Indie film world and a great way to debut her versatility, creativity, and leadership in the industry. Producer, actor, casting director, location coordinator, and teacher, we spoke to Val about her many roles in the film industry and her new series, “The 7” starring students from her students at The Actors Co-op, a company that she founded with her colleague, Pete Postiglione.
